EUNICE: Organization of the Peer-IR-School

The international relations departments of EUNICE partner universities met in Mons (Belgium) from June 12 to 14 for the Peer-IR-school, training in the tools created as part of the Erasmus+ Peer-IR-view project.

.

The aim of the Peer-IR-View project, coordinated by UPHF's Pôle de Relations Internationales, is to create tools to improve knowledge management and peer training within higher education international relations departments.

With the project coming to an end this summer and most of the tools already functional, this " Peer-IR-View  school" was an opportunity for International Relations staff from EUNICE universities to discover and test some of the tools created as part of the project, including :

  • The " IRO Benchmarking toolbox ", a tool in the form of a series of questionnaires and data visualization solutions enabling any partnership, consortium or alliance to map partners' operational and strategic information ;
  • A manual for creating video tutorialson getting to grips with platforms and software specific to the IR business ;
  • A guide to organizing peer training sessions in academic settings ;
  • A peer mentoring program already implemented within International Relations and set to be deployed in other departments to strengthen links between EUNICE partners ;
  • A toolbox to facilitate the organization of activities for international students ;
  • IRO Welcome toolbox ", a toolbox bringing together procedures, advice and sample documents to welcome and integrate newly recruited staff in the best possible way.

The toolset will be published and downloadable at the project page between July and August 2023. Three tools are currently available:

  •  " IRO Benchmarking toolboox " ;
  • " IRO video pills handbook " ;
  • " Peer-to-peer expert sessions "

So you don't miss a thing
