EUNICE opportunities
As a member of the EUNICE alliance of European universities, UPHF offers its students, staff and partners a wide range of opportunities.
Students
EUNICE offers students from partner universities the opportunity to personalise their training by integrating European modules online and on-site, mobility periods (work placements or studies), as well as cultural, sporting and entrepreneurial activities.
Whatever their level of study, UPHF students have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at one of the partner universities and benefit from financial aid for their mobility.

Each year, the EUNICE alliance also offers its students various Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) on a variety of themes. These programmes, which include a virtual learning phase and a 5- to 30-day on-site phase, enable students to spend a short period of time in a partner university.
Each year EUNICE Weeks are organised, a series of cultural events, conferences, sports tournaments and mobility forums in which students and the wider university community are invited to participate.
This academic year, EUNICE Weeks took place from 23 October to 30 November 2023.
Each semester, the EUNICE course catalogue is updated to include a large number of online modules on a variety of subjects: foreign languages, science and technology, management, business, etc.
Consult the course catalogue
There are three EUNICE online course formats:
- Online live course
- Online self-study course (‘online self-study course’)
- Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) *.
Each module is allocated a variable number of ECTS credits. These credits can be awarded to students under certain conditions and with the prior agreement of their academic supervisor.
Students wishing to apply for an EUNICE course are invited to consult the Study Guide available on the corresponding page of the EUNICE website.
* The MOOC on ‘Introduction to Global Studies’ will be open to students and the general public until 15 June 2024. Find out more.
Applications for EUNICE courses in the second semester 2023-2024 are now closed. A next application session will begin in September 2024 for EUNICE modules in the year 2024-2025.
The EUNICE international internship portal presents more than 200 internship and thesis offers to students of the alliance. Access the portal.
UPHF students can apply for internships on the portal (excluding internships in France). For more information on internships abroad, see the following page.
The EUNICE alliance regularly offers its students the opportunity to take part in inter-university entrepreneurship challenges. The aim of these competitions is to bring together students from EUNICE universities by offering them experiences of teamwork and coordination in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
Staff
As members of the UPHF university community, academic and administrative staff also have access to many EUNICE benefits: Erasmus+ mobility, multidisciplinary modules, the opportunity to propose an EUNICE course or activity, etc.
UPHF staff have the opportunity to undertake mobility in Europe (or outside Europe), thanks to the Erasmus+ programme.
During the academic year, the International Relations Pole organises several calls for applications, which are available on the intranet. As EUNICE member universities are privileged partners of UPHF, Erasmus+ mobility for staff to one of these establishments is strongly encouraged.
For more information on staff mobility, see the following page.
The staff of the EUNICE alliance are also invited to train or reinforce certain skills through dedicated modules.
This academic year 2023-2024, most of the language courses were open to staff members (see the EUNICE 2023-2024 course catalogue).
In addition, EUNICE is offering staff from the ten partner universities the opportunity to follow certain modules online, such as the MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) Introduction to Global Studies, available online until 15 June 2024. To find out more, click here.
Are you a teacher at UPHF and would like to co-create a course with an alliance partner? Are you organising an event and would like to invite colleagues from EUNICE member universities? The EUNICE unit can help you get in touch with alliance partners. For all proposals, please contact the EUNICE unit at @email. You will be contacted as soon as possible.
Partners and companies
The EUNICE alliance of universities benefits from a solid network of European partners made up of companies, industry and research players, as well as other social, cultural, artistic and sporting players. All these partners can benefit from the strength of the EUNICE network.
UPHF's partner companies can submit their internship offers on the EUNICE international internship platform. This enables them to gain visibility in Europe and attract profiles with a wide range of skills and backgrounds.
EUNICE launched Reunice (EUNICE Research) in October 2021, a project funded by the European Union's H2020 research and innovation programme to align research and innovation agendas within the EUNICE alliance.
This project aims to promote cooperation between universities and with other sectors in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of activities developed within EUNICE. Find out more about Reunice.
As part of Reunice, each university organises one or more scientific dissemination events within its institution. From 27 to 29 June 2023, the UPHF hosted the Workshop for Multi-Functional Materials, organised by the UMONS-UPHF cross-border materials cluster and open to EUNICE alliance partners.
