Toyota Onnaing / Valenciennes donates 4 Yaris hybrids to the UPHF
Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at IMTD, representatives of Toyota Motor Manufacturing France handed over the keys of 4 Yaris hybrids to the University. This donation comes under the apprenticeship tax and complements the agreement already signed with TMMF.
A gift for educational use
Two vehicles are for IUT
The application of knowledge, and in particular the problems of electrical empowerment (NFC 18550 standard), requires working on real supports.
- A hybrid vehicle will complete the electromobility platform of the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII) department, already equipped with the retrofit of a thermal vehicle and a 100% electric vehicle.
- A second vehicle will be used by students in the Industrial Engineering and Maintenance (GIM) department to familiarize them with energy cogeneration (hybridization) and its future applications.
Two vehicles are intended for INSA Hauts-de-France
The cars will serve as a platform for educational development, in particular:
- Develop innovative pedagogies,
- Acquire skills related to intelligent ground transportation, IOT (internet of things), artificial intelligence, v2x communications,
- Develop a connected vehicle platform, included in the main strategic lines of the institution with a training-research bridge.
