EUNICE: a financing agreement from the European Commission until 2027

The EUNICE alliance of European universities has been awarded 14.4 million euros in European funding, which will guarantee the sustainability of the consortium's activities until 2027.

EUNICE, European University for Customised Education, has just been selected by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus+ 2023 call for proposals for European Universities. After a three-year pilot project, and following the expansion of the alliance to ten partner universities, this substantial funding will ensure the sustainability of EUNICE's activities until 2027.

In January, the alliance's steering committee submitted a new project proposal, whose vision is now supported by the European Commission. EUNICE aims to transform the educational experience of students and teachers on a European scale. Its aim is to develop personalized educational pathways,to promote knowledge sharing among staff, encourage interdisciplinary research and implement educational approaches that respond to global challenges, while addressing regional socio-economic issues.

The alliance, created in 2020, is made up of seven European higher education institutions : the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF), the University of Mons (UMONS), the University of Vaasa (UVA), the University of Catania (UNICT), the University of Cantabria (UC), the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), and the Poznan University of Technology (PUT). In 2023, EUNICE expands to welcome three new members: the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV), the University of Peloponnese (UoP) and Karlstad University (KU).
