UPHF strengthens its research and innovation partnerships in Indonesia

The UPHF, led by its President, Abdelhakim Artiba, carried out a mission to Indonesia from June 5 to 9, 2023 under the auspices of the French Embassy services. The mission enabled the finalization of a number of partnership agreements in the fields of research and innovation.

The UPHF's President, Abdelhakim Artiba, took part in the mission.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 5 in Jakarta with BRIN, the National Agency for Research and Innovation, Indonesia's only rapidly expanding government research institution, marks a turning point and makes the UPHF a key player in Franco-Indonesian cooperation.

This cooperation agreement, entitled Degree by Research, focuses specifically on research training at doctoral and master's level. It will strengthen existing collaboration in scientific research and innovation, and develop research training between our two countries.

The aim is to increase the quality and quantity of researchers and human resources in science and technology for postgraduate programs, both research master's programs and doctoral programs. It will also involve developing cooperation and capacity building in research and education, based on the principle of reciprocity in various areas of mutual interest.

UPHF has also renewed its existing partnership with the Institute Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya. The agreement plans to strengthen collaboration in R&D in the transport theme but also to develop Co-diplomation at master's level. Following the agreement signed in 2018 with Institute Technology Bandung (ITB), UPHF is now linked by a long-term collaboration with Indonesia's two leading academic institutions.
