A UPHF delegation visited Vietnam in October

President Abdelhakim Artiba and Armel de la Bourdonnaye, director of INSA Hauts-de-France, met with their counterparts at Vietnamese partner universities.

Since 2012, UPHF has been developing research and training cooperation with several Vietnamese universities:

  • Hanoi National University
  • Danang University of Science and Technology - Danang University
  • University of Foreign Trade (Hanoi)
  • University of Transportation and Communication (Hanoi and HCMV)

These partner universities regularly send us students from undergraduate to PhD level. They come to study mainly in automation, mechanics, electronics, civil engineering, advanced materials, but also in business and management.
Joint research and training projects are underway, as well as exchanges of students, teachers, and cooperation in the framework of the Erasmus + program.

The main objective of this recent mission was to work with our partners on defining the strategic axes for future collaborations. Discussions focused on the different cooperation projects in transport mechanics, civil engineering, advanced materials, intelligent transport systems, smart cities and logistics.

These are areas in which the Vietnamese partners are keen to collaborate from next year. The president of the university and the director of INSA Hauts-de-France also affirmed their willingness to collaborate with Vietnam in these fields, especially for doctoral training.

President Abdelhakim Artiba furthermore emphasized UPHF's role in international partner networks, citing EUNICE, whose activities could be extended to Asia through UPHF's connection.
