UPHF and INSA Hauts-de-France sign a double degree with a Shanghai university
The President of the UPHF, Abdelhakim Artiba, the Director of INSA Hauts-de-France, Armel de La Bourdonnaye, and Cécile Garçon, International Cooperation Officer with the International Relations Unit, visited Shanghai from 12 to 16 November 2023. The visit reflects the desire of UPHF and INSA Hauts-de-France to renew ties with China following the COVID crisis, which slowed down exchanges between partners.
The signing of the double degree agreement between INSA Hauts-de-France and Tongji University, one of the best in China, is a real opportunity. Students from INSA Hauts-de-France will have the opportunity to go on exchange to the Institute of Rail Transport, the School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, and the School of Transport Engineering at Tongji University. This is an opportunity for them to benefit from the ultra-sophisticated equipment in the laboratories and research institutes, including state-of-the-art simulators and trains for full-scale tests.
The visit of Chinese professors, researchers and students will encourage collaboration at the highest technological level, as well as exchanges of knowledge and intercultural dialogue.
The trip to China was also an opportunity for Mr Artiba and Mr de La Bourdonnaye to visit ALSTOM, STELLANTIS and KEOLIS to discuss internship opportunities for students, as well as the French Consulate, where Mr Joan Valadou, Consul General of France, gave them invaluable advice on scientific and university cooperation.
