Return on the conference "Ecological transition, a new responsibility for higher education: the Jouzel report
As part of its sustainable development week, UPHF hosted Luc Abbadie at a conference around the Jouzel report entitled "Raising awareness and training on the challenges of ecological transition and sustainable development in higher education."
On Monday, March 20, 2023, UPHF was honored to host Luc Abbadie, professor at Sorbonne University and co-author of the Jouzel-Abbadie report entitled Awareness and training on the challenges of ecological transition and sustainable development in higher education. This report, the result of a reflection by the working group chaired by climatologist Jean Jouzel, was submitted in February 2022 to the Minister of Higher Education and Research.
On the occasion of Sustainable Development Week at UPHF, the DDRS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) cluster organized a conference led by Luc Abbadie. One of the key objectives of this report is to make training in the ecological transition in higher education an integral part of training courses, and thus to train 100% of students at Bac+2/3 level, whatever their course, within 5 years. Thus, during the conference, many topics related to training for the Ecological Transition in Higher Education were discussed: from the conclusions of the Jouzel report to possible methods for achieving the set objectives.
This conference gave rise to rich exchanges around sustainable development within the university, and we warmly thank Luc Abbadie for his presence and this moment of knowledge sharing.
