Assises de la Coopération Franco-Indonésienne - JWG 2022

The Polytechnic University Hauts-de-France has been chosen to host and coordinate the organization of the twelfth Assises de la Coopération Franco-Indonésienne de l'enseignement supérieur, de la recherche, de l'innovation et du partenariat, also called JWG (Joint Working Group).

This annual event, alternately held in France and Indonesia, held its first edition in Bali in 2009. The last French edition had taken place in Poitiers in 2018, before the last face-to-face in Masaka in 2019. After a time of interruption related to the health crisis, this edition was therefore particularly expected. More than 30 French institutions and 300 Indonesian participants had responded present.

The opening ceremony of the Franco-Indonesian Conferences took place on Tuesday, June 28 on the Mont Houy campus.

It was punctuated by the interventions of :

  • Prof. Abdelhakim Artiba, president of the UPHF
  • Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Education of Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (recorded message)
  • Joaquim Nassar, Head of Department of Strategy, Expertise and Management of International Cooperation Programs, MESR
  • Dr. Suharti, Secretary General, Ministry of Education Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia
  • Cyrille Pierre, Deputy Director General Globalization, Culture, Education and International Development, MEAE
  • Laksana Tri Handoko, Director of the Indonesian National Research Agency (BRIN)
  • Mohamad Oemar, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to France

All welcomed this event as a great opportunity to develop student mobility, research between our two countries and agreed on the international scientific influence that these cooperations will produce.

The ceremony was closed by the signing of cooperation agreements between French and Indonesian institutions. For the UPHF, let's mention in particular, a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian National Research Agency as well as a collaboration agreement between the INSA network and the Surabaya Institute of Technology.

The conference was then launched with the division of participants into different groups during the two days:

  • Thematic workshops (maritime, health, agri-food, energy and computer engineering, humanities and social sciences, FICEM and tourism)
  • Presentations of different Indonesian and French research organizations
  • Speed-datings to build one's network and projects for universities and research actors, including companies
  • Information sessions (funding, network, innovation)

These sessions aimed to consolidate existing links and develop new ones.
