BARBIER
Franck BARBIER is a University Professor in Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities (STAPS). He defended his doctorate in Automation at UVHC in 1994, then his Habilitation to direct research in STAPS at UVHC in 2005.

He carries out his research at the LAMIH UMR-CNRS 8201 where he was the director of the "Human and Life Sciences" department from 2012 to 2016. His research and teaching focus on biomechanics and three-dimensional analysis of human movements.
He has been actively collaborating since 1996, in his teaching and research, with his colleagues at the University of Montreal and Laval in Quebec City. From 2004 to 2006, he was President of the Technical Group on the 3D Analysis of Human Movement of the International Society of Biomechanics. He has organized several national and international conferences on these topics.

He has managed more than 30 industrial contracts and is co-inventor of an international patent.
Finally, he was Deputy Director from 2005 to 2009, and then Director from 2009 to 2016, of the "Faculty of Sports Sciences and Trades."
