The University of Cantabria (Spain) will host the Jean Monnet Workshop entitled The European Universities alliances: challenges and opportunities for students on November 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
The keynote address will be given by Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of Higher Education at the European Commission, who will explain why the European Commission is promoting European university alliances as a strategic element of the European integration project, and how this promotion is articulated.
This will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the opportunities available to EUNICE alliance students. Different speakers from EUNICE universities will address different topics in which they specialize:
The round table will be followed by a discussion on the opportunities offered to EUNICE students.
- Mouna Denden, from the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France. She will explain the joint academic offer that EUNICE makes available to students.
- Kerstin Maier, from the University of Cantabria (Spain). It will discuss joint opportunities in terms of cultural activities, languages and global skills.
- Cristina Satriano, from the University of Catania (Italy). She will explain the opportunities offered by EUNICE related to business relations and entrepreneurship.
The event will be inaugurated by the Regional Minister of Economy and Finance of the Government of Cantabria, Ana Belén Álvarez, and the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Global Engagement of the University of Cantabria, Matxalen Llosa. It is organized by the Jean Monnet Module on Economic and Financial System and Regional Development of the University of Cantabria, with the participation of members of the ECONPOINT research group of the Department of Economics.
