Student mobility between France and Canada
Visit to Valenciennes by a delegation from Hearst University
The visit by Alexandre Bekhradi, Vice-Rector Academic and Research of the Université de Hearst and Samantha Losier, Head of the International Office, is part of a shared desire to foster academic exchanges and consolidate the existing bilateral mobility agreement.
Since 2018, students in the Gestion des Entreprises et des Administrations (GEA) department have been able to benefit from mobility in semester 3, under an agreement with Hearst University, and the November visit reinvigorated exchanges interrupted by the covid crisis. The presentation of the new Bachelor of Technology degree, and in particular the GEA - Gestion Entrepreneuriat et Management d'Activités course, drew the attention of our Canadian contacts and led to new departures for our students, as well as the possibility of welcoming Canadian students to UPHF.
BUT .We are delighted to be working with this French-speaking university in Canada. It's a promising new step for our academic future and international student mobility!
The delegation was received by Franck Barbier, vice-president of the Commission de la Formation et de la Vie Universitaire, Jonathan Brindle, director of the Pôle des Relations Internationales (PRI), Sophie Corioland, head of the Gestion des Entreprises et des Administrations department at the IUT, Abdelmalik Taleb-Ahmed, IUT IR officer, Virginie Lesage-Noiret, teacher who leads the international section of the GEA department, Tiphanie Pruvost, head of the mobility unit at PRI.
