Alliance between the Catholic University of Lille and the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France

Following the decree n°2022-304 dated March 1, 2022, published in the Official Journal, the Catholic University of Lille (UCL) is officially associated with the Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University (UPHF). This alliance, concluded for a period of five years, intends to pool the skills of the two universities, on six major components: training, research, professional integration, international, relations with territories and companies, and student life.

Through this alliance, the Université Catholique de Lille and the UPHF aim to coordinate their training offerings, focused on learner success. "Raising awareness," "training" and "accompanying" will be the actions carried out jointly by the two universities to facilitate the entry of students into the workforce.

Regional partnerships will also be engaged to support students in their approaches to companies.

On the research side, this alliance involves "the recognition of a quality of research and innovation at the best international standard." The two establishments will thus deploy a common scientific policy to allow the emergence of several poles of excellence, through the promotion of innovative teaching practices.

The alliance will be based on the principle of "the recognition of a quality of research and innovation at the best international standard".

Together, UCL and UPHF have the will to strengthen their international influence. Exchanges with partner universities will make it possible to recruit foreign faculty and students. The two institutions also aim to work on the construction and development of an "alliance of European universities."
