Presentation
The "Matinée des Chercheurs" was created by the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons in the early 2000s. The success of this event led to its evolution into another format, the "Mardi des Chercheurs" ("Tuesday for Researchers").
Since 2015, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France has joined the aventure in order to strengthen its collaboration with the University of Mons. The event is thus organised, in turn, by the two institutions. UPHF organised the 2016 and 2018 events, as well as the 2021 edition that took place entirely online due to the health context.
Mardi des Chercheurs is a scientific event that brings together people involved in research (teacher-researchers, researchers, doctoral students, engineers, assistants, etc.) from different disciplines (from Human Sciences to Mathematics, to Engineering Sciences).
This event allows to create a place of privileged exchange, to discover the research carried out by colleagues, and trigger collaborations between people, departments or institutions.
This year, just as last year's event in UMons, Mardi des Chercheurs is also open to all members of EUNICE partner institutions.
2023 Edition
The 2023 edition will take place on Tuesday, 13th June, 2023, at UPHF (Campus Mont Houy), within the Sustainable Transport and Mobility Institute (IMTD) in Valenciennes (France).
As in previous editions, prizes will be awarded to the authors of the best posters, as well as to the winner of the "Show your PhD" competition.
Registration (free and mandatory to participate), initially possible until 19th May, is open until Thursday 25th May.
The 2023 prizes
Those wishing to present a poster should choose a category from among:
- Mathematics and its interactions
- Chemistry
- Biology, Medicine and Health
- Engineering Sciences
- Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- Social Sciences
- EUNICE partner (except UPHF and UMons)
Details on the categories are given in the Poster tab.
As in previous editions, prizes will be awarded for the best posters. One of these prizes will be specially awarded to the author of the best poster from a partner university of the EUNICE alliance (except UPHF and UMons).
This year, another novelty is introduced, with the creation of a special DDRS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) prize awarded by the jury. This prize aims to highlight a poster based on research that has a positive effect on sustainable development or societal impact.
Among all the proposed posters, there will be two intruders (so-called "fake posters"). A specific prize will be awarded to these posters.
Finally, a specific prize will be awarded to the winner of the "Show your PhD" competition.
A "best poster prize" among the best thematic posters will be awarded by the jury.
Participation in both competitions is independent.
